LEADERSHIP

After coming to Christ later in life and spending 25 years in the business world, Greg followed his passion and said “yes” to full-time ministry. Greg and his wife Shelly have been at Cedar Creek since 1990. They have three adult children and three grandchildren. Greg has a BA in Business Administration from Indiana Institute of Technology and an MA in Leadership Studies from Cincinnati Christian University. His primary responsibilities are the preaching and teaching of God’s word and to help people grow in Christ. Greg’s passion is the goodness of God and the power that comes from living a grateful life. He loves to read, hear peoples stories and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Jordan has been around Cedar Creek since he began attending Trine University in 2010. While there, he met his wife Carolyn. Following their marriage in 2015, they continued to serve at Trine in campus ministry. After 9 years there, Jordan transitioned into ministry here at Cedar Creek, leading worship and working with discipleship. He and Carolyn have a little boy Judah (March 2019) and they have all loved being a part of the church family here over the years.

Although Gabe joined the Cedar Creek team as Youth Minister in September 2012, he has been a part of our church family for his entire life. Gabe received his BA in Biblical Studies and MA in New Testament Studies from Cincinnati Christian University, and was the Associate Minister at the Church of Christ at Delhi in Cincinnati for almost 2 years before coming back to Cedar Creek Church. Gabe met his future wife Bethany, a respiratory therapist, when they were both counselors at her home church camp. Gabe and Bethany have three wonderful children, Eyra Grace (June 2015), Kilian Grey (April 2017), and Lainey James (September 2019). Gabe’s passion for students has only grown as the years pass. He wants every student to not only know of and feel God’s love, but to be God’s love to the world. Whether backpacking in the mountains or playing board games at the dining room table, Gabe enjoys life and tries to be content in whatever situation he finds himself!

Connie joined the Cedar Creek team in 2015, serving as a Children’s Ministry Volunteer Coordinator. Since then, her role has expanded to include all things Children’s Ministry. Connie is a graduate of Huntington University and has an elementary education degree. Prior to her work at Cedar Creek, she taught 2nd grade for 7 years at Topeka Elementary. She and her husband, Eric, were married in 2008, and they have two children, Grant and Hannah. Connie loves children and loves seeing them grow in their relationship with Jesus! She also loves everything about the fall season, exploring nature, traveling, music, art, and spending time with friends and family.

Kim and her husband Jayme have been serving Cedar Creek for more than 24 years.  Kim has been on staff since 2007, serving in the area of Children’s Ministry.  She currently oversees our large and growing Childcare Ministry.  Beyond her commitment to leading and managing the Childcare, Kim also has a love for coffee, fashion, books, and spending time with her family.  Kim and Jayme have five children, one son-in-law, one daughter-in-law, and one beautiful grandchild!  Kim and Jayme have a passion for investing in strong marriages and families!

Michelle Barrand and joined the Cedar Creek staff in 2019 as the secretary/office manager. Her husband Troy and their and our sons, Nicholas and Bennett, have called Cedar Creek Church home for the last 15 years. Previously, she volunteered as the director of Women’s Ministry, facilitated many Bible studies and subbed in the office. She graduated from Purdue with a degree in health sciences and a minor in business. She worked in nursing for many years and even tried my hand as a restauranteur before getting married and taking time off to raise her children. Now she’s back to work part-time while the boys are in school and says this is her favorite job by far. Some of her favorite things are gardening and cooking. But her passion is to love and serve like Jesus.
