Cedar Creek Student Ministry
Cedar Creek Student Ministry is a community of students and adult leaders moving together toward Christ. Ultimately we desire to see permanent life changes through Christ in all of the students who come through our ministry. There are a few different places you can join us to discover more about Cedar Creek. The main way to find out more about Cedar Creek Student Ministry is to join us for The Pulse any Sunday evening at 6:00pm. We hope to see you sometime soon and will do all we can to walk with you in this journey of life!
Here are some highlights from Cedar Creek Student Ministry life:
Sunday School
Every Sunday morning at 9:45am, we offer an hour of in-depth Bible study for all ages.
The Well
Wednesday night at Cedar Creek is a time filled with food and fun for all ages. We serve dinner at 6:15pm and offer classes at 7:00pm that encourage student involvement and interaction.
The Pulse & Impact
Cedar Creek Student Ministry provides a weekly encouter for junior high students at The Pulse and for senior high students at Impact. Both programs begin with loud, upbeat music led by our own teen worship band. Separate activities follow for each group, including fellowship and food in our Family Life Center and various small groups that teach biblical lessons in very practical ways. The Pulse & Impact meet from 6:00pm-7:30pm on Sundays.
Fun Nights
Occasionally, we take a break from The Pulse, and we have a fun night. We usually travel to an off-site location and spend the evening in fellowship together. Some past activities have included bowling, concerts, cookouts, swimming, area youth bashes, and hay rides. This is a great way to start meeting other students and get involved in Student Ministry!
High School Retreat
Lake James Christian Assembly offers a weekend retreat every January. We attend this retreat as a youth group. This weekend is a great time to get away and re-focus after a busy holiday season and to get spiritually ready for the second half of the school year. We also take part each November in the Indiana Christian Youth Convention.
Christ In Youth Summer Conference
Each summer we spend a week on a college campus to grow in our walk with the Lord. CIY has an outstanding ministry for youth and we are proud to partner with them each summer. Every year we see our youth grow in their walk with the Lord during this week away from home.
Mission Trips
Each summer we take a trip that focuses on serving someone else. We feel that we are called to be a servant to the whole world. As part of our vision and strategy for ministry we want all youth that come through our program to be given an opportunity to do mission work in some way. So we are committed to offering at least one short-term mission trip each year. Our past trips have included Juarez, Mexico; Harvest Prayer Ministries; and Arizona.
Junior High Retreat
Lake James Christian Assembly offers a weekend retreat on a yearly basis. Cedar Creek’s Junior High weekend takes place during the winter. The camp is a year-round facility that makes these weekends possible.
Believe Conference
Every spring Christ In Youth hosts a weekend retreat for junior high students in Anderson, Indiana. We take our 6th-8th grade students each year. This weekend is focused on the many needs that face junior high students as they are growing in their walk with the Lord.
Summer Fun
Each summer we take a break from Pulse Worship due to the hectic summer schedules. However; we do offer several activities for junior high and high school students throughout the summer months to keep our youth involved and connected to each other and God.
Summer Camp
We attend Lake James Christian Assembly in Angola, Indiana. Lake James offers a wide variety of camps for all age groups. It also has wilderness and sports camps.
